The orentation of the hot tub was dictated by the view. The orentation of the main deck behind the hot tub was dictated by the space. this resulted in two disconnected roofs, the larger overlapping the smaller.

The roof trusses needed to have a light, finished look. They also needed to be strong. To accomplish this they were mortised, pegged and glued.

The customer on this project had a fondness for Mission style furniture and wanted that look for the front deck.
